Building the Economy, Supporting Business, and Creating Jobs

Kathleen provided leadership in creating accountability and effectiveness in the state’s economic development programs as a member of the Legislature’s Special Committee on Economic Development.

She supported successful efforts to:

increase tax credits for start-up businesses,

create technology centers at the state universities,

establish a revolving loan fund to help manufacturing plants retool,

extend the tax credit for dairy modernization, and

create a payroll credit for businesses that create jobs.
