Kathleen led the fight against the effort by AT&T to deregulate cable and video services, cut their obligations to consumers, and severely restrict community television. She was not able to stop the legislation but secured several key modifications to the bill and continues the effort to restore consumer rights and protect community television.
She was also successful in side-tracking Wal-Mart’s effort to make it more difficult for their smaller competitors to survive.
